Music Review: SHINee - Dream Girl

Hello!! Finally i am able to keep my blog on track. Like seriously, previously i just don't have the time to do own stuff even at home. All i can do is finish up my work and get to bed as early as possible. However, today i just discovered a new road back home and it does save me 30 more minutes. Teeehheee. It was a great found indeed.

So for today ! I'm back with a music review which i've not been doing for a long time. This time its yet another new Korean release, Dream Girl by SHINee. I will be doing Korean song quite often. Just in case you don't know, i'm a big Korean addict! By the way i've not done any song by a female artiste yet. Maybe soon !

FYI: My review is not professional alright? Its all my personal opinion soooooo don't hate if my opinion have some cross-over with ya ok?

Just recently, SHINee released their latest title track and music video for Dream Girl. Since i'm doing a review on it, wouldn't surprise if i say i love it right? Anyway! Listen to the song before anything starts first.

As a person who prefer a more upbeat and fast tempo song, Dream Girl have just added to my favourite playlist of the month. Not to forget this song brings us back to where SHINee is coming from in the beginning where it suits their bright and flower boy (not so anymore) image.

This song strongly reminds me of their 2009 hits Juliette where the electric guitar just blends so well with the bass ( if i'm not mistaken) and that's also the reason why i pay attention to SHINee during their release Juliette. Also the electro + dubstep-kind of feel through the whole song just makes you want to dance along as well! LOL if i can laaaaa....

That's not only the reason i love this song, when Jong Hyun are usually the one showing off his great vocal in their previous songs, this song actually gives room for every members to showcase (except Key) their vocals where i always think each and every of them have a great voice ! Don't you realize that rather than Minho do only rapping, he sing a little during the second verse as well? SM should just let Minho sings more cause he sounds good.

Besides Jong Hyun who always sounds amazing, Onew actually stood out to me the most this time. Though Onew does not carries the most important part of the song, but when he open his mouth during his little part of the chorus, i can't help but just drawn into it. It sort of giving me a Cher's voice kind of feel which is i amazing. Perhaps they should let Onew to carry the whole chorus instead of Jong Hyun next time ( please tell me if i'm wrong on Onew never carry a chorus as a whole before) and maybe let him try hitting the high note as well. That would be rather refreshing and cool. However, i think they neglected Key a little bit this time in this song because for a not so big fans of SHINee, as far i could remember that Key is singing is during the last part of chorus where Onew sings at the first two times. Well, that's may because i couldn't really recognize Key's voice.

As for the music video, when SM who is famous for its only-dance-MV, Dream Girl is surprising eye catching for me. Though you may thought your screen may have some problem, i like how they play with effect rather than just showing them dancing and focus on their face with their mouth singing and winking and hands pointing and moving in front of the screen.

Well, that's my little review for this song. If you have any disagreement or opinion, feel free to leave a comment.

Time to work on my project. Ciao! xoxo
