Roy Kim - Home

What to do when you felt lonely in a foreign country? Music always plays the best part. Not to say I have no friends here, I do have but those feelings are just different from being in a place that you know every corner of it than a place where you only know limited of. And when songs like Roy Kim's recent release Home, It just screams homesick. Well or I should say HumanSick.

I'm not a homesick person to be honest, I actually thought I would've miss Malaysia a lot more, but I didn't LOL ( I think I really like the lifestyle in Korea hahaha ) . What I missed are actually the people in Malaysia, my family and my friends and food.

I'm lying when I say I don't feel lonely. I DO! Especially when i see photos of my hommies' gathering together without me, a rush of feeling that I want to be inside of the pictures does rush towards me. Especially at night staying inside this prison-like room (but comfy).

Well anyway, the reason I wrote this post is just wants to share a recent song that I loved really much from Roy Kim. This song brings peace to my heart once i listened to it. While sharing this, I thought I'd just insert some of my thoughts in. LOL ANNOYING MUCH I KNOW.

Anyways...ENJOY! I STILL LOVE THIS PLACE :P

After School - First Love

Can't believe its almost been a month gap since my last post !!! Time really passes way too fast and i'm just a month from ending my 2nd final semester of Diploma. Gonna end it on December if i pass all the subjects. Sad and happy at both. Happy that i can finally take a long break from all the studies but sad because can't really meet my DMC babies as frequently anymore.

To those who keep updated on me, you'll prolly surprise why am i not blogging about my trip to Hokkaido, Japan. The reason is that i have tons of assignments to be settle down. YES! you always hear me complaining assignments because it is that much! At one point i need to settle 4 assignments in 2 weeks time. Crazy not? =E Would wanna have free time only i can slowly blog about the Hokkaido cause its rare for me to have travel post :P

Well back to topic ! You know i'm a huge fan of the Korean girl group After School, which is called Playboyz (fandom name) Just last week they released their brand new 6th Maxi album "First Love" and i'm gonna say this is the best album they had since their debut 4 years ago! In terms of promoting track, this is my second favourite after "Shampoo" that was released in 2011. Oh ya btw their title track is also call "First Love" A lot people especially in Malaysia does not know who After School is as they are really underrated group. They only had a big win in 2009 with their best hit to date "Because Of You" where it sweeps the music charts all over South Korea. However, ever since then they've been living under the limelight of new girl groups. The reason i do this is just to share the awesomeness of my favourite girl group to everyone and also play a part being a PlayBoyz haha. Here's a simple info on my girls.

From left to right: Nana, Lizzy, Uee, Kaeun, Jung-Ah, E-Young, Joo Yeon and Raina

Debut in January 2009, they suffered several changes on members. Out of the 8 members now, only 2 were originally here since the first release (JooYeon & Jung Ah). Despite that, they managed to maintain a favorable fanbase because groups that always have changes in member normally can't manage to get famous.

These girls have always been really hardworkers, everytime they released a new song/album, they will always in-cooperate something new that no one in the K-Pop Music industry had done. Namely drumline during the released of their 3rd single "Bang" in 2010

Drumline "Let's Do it"
Awesome isn't it?

Fast forward a year during 2011 which is my favourite year of them. They had Tap Dancing for their "Shampoo" release.
Tap Dancing "Let's Step Up"

They are namely one of the best performing girl group of K-Pop. Even top boy group Super Junior's member Shin Dong had claim the title for the girls. Tho they might not excel in vocals but NO! They are definitely one of the strongest girl group all around.

Well, in 2012 when they released "Flashback", sadly they didn't have anything fresh for the fans but the track was sexy as hell. Search for it for some oozing hotness. Ohhh yeah...

Now come to 2013. Guess what? They increase their oozzing bitchiness and hotness with POLE DANCING in their song. Yes people may be like "POLE DANCING? That's bitchy that's slutty" but i don't care ! Do you know how hard is it to do pole dancing? If you are lacking a tiny bits of strength you can fall down and have your face or hands or legs swollen like pig. I'm not backing up pole dancing because my girls did it but honestly i have respect for pole dancing for a long time and never have deemed pole dancing as something slutty and bitchy. Yes there might be people who does it in an unglam way like in the strip clubs but there are alot that uses pole dancing as career. Furthermore the girls did it in a classy and elegant way.

Ok i know i'm talking way too much. Before anything just watch the awesome song and MV :D

What's different this time compare to their previous release is that they separated the song with the concept in 2 different MVs but this time they add in together with the choreography with the song which make it even more of a joy to watch it. I remember i keep looking for places that has wi-fi during the day of its release because i was in Japan my phone couldn't use 3G and it is not released yet even till the moment i left the hotel with wi-fi. I literally went crazy as i search for wi-fi everytime i reach a new place. I even try not to sleep because i'm waiting the clock to strive at 12 during the 13th of June.

Well awesome isn't it? The girls took 6 months to practice for this and i really want them win #1 on music programs like Inkigayo, Music Core and M! Countdown at least once! They really deserve it for their hardwork T_T because it has been 3 years since they had a trophy from music programs. But they facing strong competitor Sistar which is a huge girl group that take the chart by storms. I hardly see chances in my girls but well i pray the best for them :D

For a better look on the dance. Watch this !

Its just a tiny bit of support i'm showing to them. Hopefully they'll get a big success like they did in 2009 T_T Hope you guys are getting a better understanding on them :D

Music Review: SHINee - Dream Girl

Hello!! Finally i am able to keep my blog on track. Like seriously, previously i just don't have the time to do own stuff even at home. All i can do is finish up my work and get to bed as early as possible. However, today i just discovered a new road back home and it does save me 30 more minutes. Teeehheee. It was a great found indeed.

So for today ! I'm back with a music review which i've not been doing for a long time. This time its yet another new Korean release, Dream Girl by SHINee. I will be doing Korean song quite often. Just in case you don't know, i'm a big Korean addict! By the way i've not done any song by a female artiste yet. Maybe soon !

FYI: My review is not professional alright? Its all my personal opinion soooooo don't hate if my opinion have some cross-over with ya ok?

Just recently, SHINee released their latest title track and music video for Dream Girl. Since i'm doing a review on it, wouldn't surprise if i say i love it right? Anyway! Listen to the song before anything starts first.

As a person who prefer a more upbeat and fast tempo song, Dream Girl have just added to my favourite playlist of the month. Not to forget this song brings us back to where SHINee is coming from in the beginning where it suits their bright and flower boy (not so anymore) image.

This song strongly reminds me of their 2009 hits Juliette where the electric guitar just blends so well with the bass ( if i'm not mistaken) and that's also the reason why i pay attention to SHINee during their release Juliette. Also the electro + dubstep-kind of feel through the whole song just makes you want to dance along as well! LOL if i can laaaaa....

That's not only the reason i love this song, when Jong Hyun are usually the one showing off his great vocal in their previous songs, this song actually gives room for every members to showcase (except Key) their vocals where i always think each and every of them have a great voice ! Don't you realize that rather than Minho do only rapping, he sing a little during the second verse as well? SM should just let Minho sings more cause he sounds good.

Besides Jong Hyun who always sounds amazing, Onew actually stood out to me the most this time. Though Onew does not carries the most important part of the song, but when he open his mouth during his little part of the chorus, i can't help but just drawn into it. It sort of giving me a Cher's voice kind of feel which is i amazing. Perhaps they should let Onew to carry the whole chorus instead of Jong Hyun next time ( please tell me if i'm wrong on Onew never carry a chorus as a whole before) and maybe let him try hitting the high note as well. That would be rather refreshing and cool. However, i think they neglected Key a little bit this time in this song because for a not so big fans of SHINee, as far i could remember that Key is singing is during the last part of chorus where Onew sings at the first two times. Well, that's may because i couldn't really recognize Key's voice.

As for the music video, when SM who is famous for its only-dance-MV, Dream Girl is surprising eye catching for me. Though you may thought your screen may have some problem, i like how they play with effect rather than just showing them dancing and focus on their face with their mouth singing and winking and hands pointing and moving in front of the screen.

Well, that's my little review for this song. If you have any disagreement or opinion, feel free to leave a comment.

Time to work on my project. Ciao! xoxo

B1A4 Tried To Walk Dance Practice

Somehow no idea why after that day i chose B1A4's Baby Goodnight as the talent performance for my first competition "NUTEEN Boy and GIrl Search" I seemed to fell in love with B1A4.

Not until the release of Tried To Walk that i really consider them as one of my favourite K-pop boy group. Despite the fact, After School still remains of my favourite K-Pop group of all time LOL!! Out topic a little jor.

Anyway, as a big fan of  INFINITEI where myself always said that they have one of the best dance choreographs for their songs but NOW!! I think they had seemed to find a new competitor. Despite the awesome song Tried To Walk that keeps me raping the replay button tho its almost 2 months of its release, what catches my attention very much is this newly uploaded Dance Practice Video for the song Tried To Walk.

I've seen them performing live on YouTube and such but with the cut angles and shots i couldn't really see clearly on the choreograph, BUT this videos just awe me in amazement!! Let's have a look!!

I never thought a KINDA soothing song can have such intense and fast choreograph and i really do think they carried the dance beyond what i expected.

LOVE how all the dancers and the members themselves looks like they have a string tied to each other and they coordinate with each other so amazingly!!

I've gotta say this is like one of the best K-pop dance choreograph i've ever seen @.@

Alright, maybe i'm exaggerating but don't you agree with me that is tooooooo goood!!?? Well, let's enjoy the official MV after the dance version.

Will try to finish up the later part of the Running Man @ Genting. Stay tuned!

Music Review: Kim Sung Gyu - "Another Me" Album

I've been really lazy to blog lately OHMAIGOAT!!! Compare to October where i have more than 10 post to November that only have 3 post to December who only have 1 post now, my determination is getting lower and lower LOLOL WADDAFUCK. Maybe because finals are in the process now. LOL BANYAK EXCUSE.

You gonna realize i rarely blog about myself recently because i'm mad tired till i am fucking lazy to edit photos. LOL!! I got 3 celebrations that has yet to blog. So many birthdays -.- Guess i'm gonna do it after my finals come to an end this Friday and HOPEFULLY I WOULDN'T DO A MASH UP ON BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS AGAIN.

So today i'm gonna just introduce a recent addict of mine which is clearly stated on the title. YESSS!! If you know me personally or follow me in Instagram or Twitter, you'll know i'm a huge fan of Korean boy group Infinite and recently the group's very own leader Sunggyu made his solo release and i gonna i truly love it! Inspirit (Infinite fanbase name) LOVE LOL!!!

First of all AGAIN!! I'm gonna comment on his hair which is absolute LOVE for this album's concept!!! Never thought that he will fit red hair so well and it actually makes me a rush to dye mine RED LOLOL but still Baro's hair are still on top of my "MOST-WANTED-HAIR" LIST.

Ok this is a terrible photo of him and trust me he look way better than this but i can only find this screencap from the MV in Google. Blame Google.

This screencap is actually not from the MV but the teaser as a whole for his album "Another Me" but well the hair colour and concept is the same so i think it still works in showing you guys his hair hahahaha

I know he is not the super handsome hot guy like T.O.P or sunny flower boy like the boys in SHINee but before anything, let's listen to his first solo release which is also the title track for the album "60 Secs"

Some of you might be distracted by the male lead in the MV  "L" which is also a member of Infinite because i know a lot people said that he looked way more hotter than Sunggyu but let's not go any further than the song :P

IMO. I'm gonna give kudos for him because he as a member of Infinite, i did not hear him singing any rock ballad before but i think he did it flawlessly with his first release and therefore *thumbs up*

And FYI, i'm a fan of ROCK BALLAD genre. YES I'm not kidding *wink*

What add it more even flawless is the winter based concept music video which makes it even more heartbreaking and add more feeling into the song itself. Tho i have to say the MV is quite of confusing.

This song may sound bored to you when you first listen to it but TRUST ME it gets better every time you RAPE THE REPLAY BUTTON BECAUSE THE SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME WHEN INITIALLY I THOUGHT THIS SONG IS REALLY PLAAAAINNNNJANEEEEEE.

Another song to introduce would be "Shine"

This song may sound a little to emo-ish for a lot of people and it may also sound weird to some people because the music itself is also very weird for me LOLOL but THAT'S THE REASON I LOVE IT.
I really love the BASS (did i got it correct? or is it even a bass behind the music?) sound behind the music and combining it with the very weird "sounds like leaves are falling theme music" just created another great rock ballad for me. FOR ME LAAHH!!! I don't what you guys think of it. But i got abit distracted by his high pitching voice at first. But it grows better on me laahh. Maybe because i'm his fans that i would think the song will be nice.

OH YA!! THE ENDING PART OF BASS?? GUITAR??? MUSIC WERE THE BEST PART OF THE SONG THAT COULD BE HEARD CLEARLY AROUND 3:50 SECONDS.

Another song on my favourite list in the album is non other than "Only Tears". My friends who especially sits in my car occasionally know that i'm obsess with this masterpiece and they don't even like Infinite but they deemed this song the ONLY SONG OF INFINITE THAT THEY CAN LISTEN UNTIL THE END.

This song is originally by Sunggyu where he sang it solo during Infinite's Concert but a group version with all the members were released instead. However!!!!! His solo version finally had a studio one in his mini-album.

If you ask me to compare with the group version or his solo version, of course i will have to say the group one because OF COURSE I LIKE THE GROUP AS A WHOLE MORE COMPARE TO A SOLO RIGHT? But i'm gonna say the solo one actually got me more addicted. I MEAN THIS SONG IS CREATED FOR HIS VOICE.

THIS SONG IS REALLY FUCKING EMO ONE LORHH! SERIOUSLY IF YOU WANNA CRY JUST LISTEN TO THIS WHILE READING THE ENGLISH TRANSLATION OF THE LYRICS. REALLY CAN CRY ONE!! I TRY BEFORE MYSELF.

Damn drama right i know.

ALRIGHT THIS IS GETTING WAY TOO LONG BUT  the last song i'm gonna introduce to everyone is the INTRO music of the album which i'm really pissed why they didn't make this into a song instead of a short piano instrumental. OR ATLEAST MAKE IT A LENGTH OF A NORMAL SONG LIKE 3 MINUTES LORRR. DAMN WASTE LA WOOLIM ENTERTAINMENT !

Not gonna elaborate any longer. Listen yourself :)

I'm sure a lot of you have the same thought as mine. MAKE IT A SONG WITH SINGING AND ATLEAST 3 MINUTES :(

There are more songs in the album but these are my favourite :) Other songs are 40 Secs and I Need You. Try to search it on YouTube if you wanna catch a hear. Its not bad too!

Overall i really enjoyed the songs of the album !!

Hopefully my introduce can add up some choices of songs for you guys.

Nanighs everyone.
