To those who keep updated on me, you'll prolly surprise why am i not blogging about my trip to Hokkaido, Japan. The reason is that i have tons of assignments to be settle down. YES! you always hear me complaining assignments because it is that much! At one point i need to settle 4 assignments in 2 weeks time. Crazy not? =E Would wanna have free time only i can slowly blog about the Hokkaido cause its rare for me to have travel post :P
Well back to topic ! You know i'm a huge fan of the Korean girl group After School, which is called Playboyz (fandom name) Just last week they released their brand new 6th Maxi album "First Love" and i'm gonna say this is the best album they had since their debut 4 years ago! In terms of promoting track, this is my second favourite after "Shampoo" that was released in 2011. Oh ya btw their title track is also call "First Love" A lot people especially in Malaysia does not know who After School is as they are really underrated group. They only had a big win in 2009 with their best hit to date "Because Of You" where it sweeps the music charts all over South Korea. However, ever since then they've been living under the limelight of new girl groups. The reason i do this is just to share the awesomeness of my favourite girl group to everyone and also play a part being a PlayBoyz haha. Here's a simple info on my girls.
From left to right: Nana, Lizzy, Uee, Kaeun, Jung-Ah, E-Young, Joo Yeon and Raina
Debut in January 2009, they suffered several changes on members. Out of the 8 members now, only 2 were originally here since the first release (JooYeon & Jung Ah). Despite that, they managed to maintain a favorable fanbase because groups that always have changes in member normally can't manage to get famous.
These girls have always been really hardworkers, everytime they released a new song/album, they will always in-cooperate something new that no one in the K-Pop Music industry had done. Namely drumline during the released of their 3rd single "Bang" in 2010
Drumline "Let's Do it"
Awesome isn't it?
Fast forward a year during 2011 which is my favourite year of them. They had Tap Dancing for their "Shampoo" release.
Tap Dancing "Let's Step Up"
They are namely one of the best performing girl group of K-Pop. Even top boy group Super Junior's member Shin Dong had claim the title for the girls. Tho they might not excel in vocals but NO! They are definitely one of the strongest girl group all around.
Well, in 2012 when they released "Flashback", sadly they didn't have anything fresh for the fans but the track was sexy as hell. Search for it for some oozing hotness. Ohhh yeah...
Now come to 2013. Guess what? They increase their oozzing bitchiness and hotness with POLE DANCING in their song. Yes people may be like "POLE DANCING? That's bitchy that's slutty" but i don't care ! Do you know how hard is it to do pole dancing? If you are lacking a tiny bits of strength you can fall down and have your face or hands or legs swollen like pig. I'm not backing up pole dancing because my girls did it but honestly i have respect for pole dancing for a long time and never have deemed pole dancing as something slutty and bitchy. Yes there might be people who does it in an unglam way like in the strip clubs but there are alot that uses pole dancing as career. Furthermore the girls did it in a classy and elegant way.
Ok i know i'm talking way too much. Before anything just watch the awesome song and MV :D
What's different this time compare to their previous release is that they separated the song with the concept in 2 different MVs but this time they add in together with the choreography with the song which make it even more of a joy to watch it. I remember i keep looking for places that has wi-fi during the day of its release because i was in Japan my phone couldn't use 3G and it is not released yet even till the moment i left the hotel with wi-fi. I literally went crazy as i search for wi-fi everytime i reach a new place. I even try not to sleep because i'm waiting the clock to strive at 12 during the 13th of June.
Well awesome isn't it? The girls took 6 months to practice for this and i really want them win #1 on music programs like Inkigayo, Music Core and M! Countdown at least once! They really deserve it for their hardwork T_T because it has been 3 years since they had a trophy from music programs. But they facing strong competitor Sistar which is a huge girl group that take the chart by storms. I hardly see chances in my girls but well i pray the best for them :D
For a better look on the dance. Watch this !
Its just a tiny bit of support i'm showing to them. Hopefully they'll get a big success like they did in 2009 T_T Hope you guys are getting a better understanding on them :D
xoxo,
Jam Chiu
