My Arts Launching Event: The Uno

I've always wanted to blog about this mini event long time ago, but i just didn't due to my laziness hahaha. Well, The Uno is a launching program for Program HUGS which is a CSR program formed by the committee of My Arts, and the mini event is called The Uno. Confusing right? Anyway just forget it.

The Uno is a charity game station event held in Kiwanis Down Syndrome Foundation on 7th of July (suppose to be the date of My Arts Concert LOL). We prepare educational games for the students there to play as well as gaining knowledge. Just forgot to mentioned in the previous post, all the funds allocated in My Arts actually donated to 4 charitable organizations :) In a way we're doing good deed, damn kind weih hahahaha.

It wasn't a great big event but all the parents were so happy with our idea and said that INTI Subang is the first college that approached them and do a charitable event for them and of course raising awareness for the Down Syndrome Community. Its like we're the one created this trend! Woohooo!

Its not going to be some long fruitful post, more like just wanted to share photos and let everyone knows what we did before the concert.

Then is was the day of event! It was held in conjunction with Orkids' sports day and i actually volunteered to be a helper.

Witnessing the sports day really make me feel so touched and big applause to the teachers. Guiding them is not an easy job as i'm part of the person who take care of them that day. Some of them had hard to listening to instructions and keep running around and their teachers never failed to put a smile on their face. And the kids determination while playing the sports and everyone is cheering from them endless. OMGGG nearly teared that day. I still remember it clearly. I know i damn drama but really lar :(

Then it was the launching for Program HUGS! Jia Min and I actually were the one launching it with the Principle of Orkids ! Hehe

Tho not the principle, Teacher Jean is the representative that's receiving our tokens of appreciation :)

Alright now let's talk about the event. The event was simple but really warmth! The parents and kids were so happy at our event! We just didn't stop receiving compliments from the Principle and parents. It shows our effort did not go into waste :) Proud of everyone!

The event ended pretty early as its just a small one. Can't believe it was already like 5 months ago. Still remember clearly what we did that day. Its the end of the year already! I'm getting old as well :(. This post marks everything we've done in realizing My Arts! See ya guys soon!

My Arts

I'm back to blogging like really after 2 months. This also marks that i officially have some time for myself to blog because trust me, before this was all about assignments. I was attached to Interactive Multimedia subject this semester and this i'm seriously suck in IT stuffs so this subject was definitely a huge shit for me. I wasn't even very much involve in the coding stuff. All i did was drawing and animation and it almost killed me LOL. Its not over yet, i'm having my final for my final semester of Diploma this Friday. Its the end of Diploma, so fast~

This post is going to talk about the previous and third event of mine in life which is My Arts which was held on  26th October where i was the Vice-Chairperson for the event. This is probably the most memorable moment and event i had throughout my Diploma years as i holds a huge part in organizing this event together with Le Chairperson and all of the committee. I was pretty pressured by this event because its my first time handling such an important position and we've faced so many shits during the process. This event was supposed to held during July but due to many problem so it was delayed.

This was held in the Auditorium Hall in my college which is! INTI Subang. Event thought this wasn't some really really big event that stunts people but we did put in tons of effort into realizing it and i'm so glad that the Dean of School Of Business ( which is the faculty that holds many programs like Mass Comm, Business and ACCA) was so proud of us and keep on mentioning it during meeting. This is like my final event before i leave college, more like a graduation event for me. It was so full of emotions.

This event was definitely a roller coaster ride because we had hard time inviting celebrities to our event. Even it is done, its like 1 week few days before the event. HOWEVER, up to one week before the event, the college made mistakes in printing the tickets so we only have exact 5 DAYS to sell our tickets. We were so worried that the crowd could brought us to shame but THANK GOD HELL IT WAS SO GREAT that a lot of the committee cried seeing the positive result. T

Before elaborating any longer to a novel, this event was a Performing Art event where we combine different types of performing arts like Street Dancing, Broadway Singing, Pop Singing and Contemporary Dancing. We managed to invite numbers of well known figure such as Wee, Eric Lin, Teddy Lo, Harvinth Skin and +2dB to our concert.

I'll start with the pre-event we did before the event. We had bazaars that sells variety of stuff with participation of two famous bloggers. Isabella Kuan and Law Nana. There's also flashmob which I MYSELF participated in hehehehe. Sad that i couldn't show you guys the flashmob video

Then it was night of the concert which was the best moment of mine in DMC :') Just wanna share some photos of performers with you guys. There were more performers but they didn't take their photo so yeah.

The concert ended so successfully that a lot of us cried during the closing ceremony. This is going to be the most memorable moment of days in DMC family. Just couldn't express how much i am grateful for the awesome committee members and of course the Chairperson. I love them to my throat and my heart <3

Its the end of Diploma already and these 2 and a half years had been treating me good. My Arts will forever be in my heart as its the time where everyone worked together to overcome problems and obstacles.
